Studies on the Allergic asthma effect of Semen Armeniaceae Amarum

Abstract
|
|
|
Objective : To evaluate the effect of Semen Armeniaceae Amarum (SAA) on allergy, studies were done experimentally.
Methods : After induction of allergic inflammation asthma by treatment of ovalbumin, water extract from SAA were taken orally for five successive days on mice respectively.
We were measured in BALF, serum IgE, FCA on the biochemical change associated with allergy.
Results : In the total cell of BALF, the SAA extract 48Omg/kg treated group was significantly reduced compared to control group and the reduction of eosinophil showed significantly at concentration of 240, 48Omg/kg. The SAA extract (480mg/kg) group was significantly decreased compared to control group on IgE antibody formation.
SAA dose-dependently also significantly inhibited to passive cutaneous anaphylaxis(PCA) activated by anti - dinitropheny 1 (DNP) IgE.
Conclusions : These results indicate that Semen Armeniaceae Amarum showed benefical effect on the allergic asthma.
